The Arkansas river throughout the valley has been holding strong for the end of June. On Sunday, the river was running 1760 cfs in Salida at the play hole. This level is perfect for all levels of boaters. The lower play hole is a glassy wave that is easy to enter and surf. The top hole is very retentive right now and is perfect for learning all the new tricks. Fishing is picking up as well. With the water clearing it should get better every day.
